I have been busy but I wanted to get back to our trip. First off, we did not know that Robert owned Hawai'i. But his vehicles were all over town. The room was nice. The balcony was better.
But to see Oahu you have to tour Oahu...
Our Tour Guide, "Handsome Ed" was a native. We were at Waikiki Beach at dawn. We saw some of the highlights of Honolulu. We got to drive through Punch Bowl which is a volcano crater turned into National Cemetery. Ed drove by the Baskin Robins where Obama worked his first job; Obama's grandmother's apartment and the hospital where Obama was born. (I was seated with some "birthers" who were sure all of those records had been changed. Oy!)
Ed finished the tour by driving by the apartment he shares with his wife. Obviously, the commentary was quite colorful. This was part of the Pearl Harbor/Honolulu City Tour. We recommend it if you find yourself in Honolulu.
